Executive Board Meeting
The 2010 Executive Board met on Saturday, January 16th at the offices of Treasurer, Laura Silver, to discuss the Schedule, Budget and business for the upcoming season. Present were Myra McKelvey, President; First Vice President, Barb Gorka; Second Vice President, Renee Dietz; Treasurer, Laura Silver, Recording Secretary, Barb Zahn, Correspondence Secretary, Shirley Krcmar; Past President, Patty Smith; West Side Tournament Coordinator, Chris Rafferty; Parliamentarian, June Linson and Elizabeth Chapple, Website and Handbook.

The minutes of the Fall Meeting were approved and the budget for the coming year was reviewed. A letter of thanks had been received from the Ohio Girls' Foundation for our contribution in 2009.   It was noted with regret that Spring Valley will no longer be a member of GCGA this year.

One change that members should take note of for 2010 is that on Team Days the course being played will be made available to other GCGA members, up to a total of 24, to fill out the field.  No prizes will be awarded to these players and they will be subject to the current GCGA tournament rates.  Sign up sheets will be provided in the Handbook.

Championship will follow the same format as last year with 8 players in each flight; five prizes will be awarded in each flight - 3 in the regular flight and 2 in the consolation flight, plus small awards for the winners in the Criers' Tournament.  The Championship match will continue to be 36 holes with a 45 minute break after the first 18 holes, this will permit more members to follow and enjoy the playing of the final holes of the match.

The spring meeting takes place on Saturday April 17 at 10 am at Rawiga Golf Club.
