Executive Board Fall Meeting

The annual Fall Meeting of the Executive Board and the Board of Governors was held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Fox Meadow - Weymouth Country Club. Among the items discussed was the approval by the Board to donate $2,000 to the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation.  Organization of next  year's events is underway; the Tri League Tournament will be hosted by GCGA at Signature of Solon on Tuesday June 12th. Championships will be held at Fox Meadow during the week of August 13 to 17 with two days play at the Meadow Course and the third day at the Weymouth Course.
 
The Board discussed the Amendment of Article 1.2 of the Bylaws, "Individual member dues shall be payable on or before the fifteenth day of June, with the exception of a new member to a club. Her dues shall be payable when joining a club, the fifteenth of July being the final day for new members." The amendment will omit the last phrase and read "Her dues shall be payable when joining a club at anytime during the season." Members of GCGA should accept the above as the thirty day written notice of such an amendment according to Article V of the Bylaws.  The proposed Amendment will be voted on at the Spring Meeting.
 
Officers for 2012

The slate of Officers for  2012 was presented and unanimously approved.

Shirley Krcmar Presented with President's Award

Shirley Krcmar has more than met the requirements to be awarded this prestigious award. As a member of GCGA for over 30 years, Shirley has filled all the Board positions and has been exceptional in her willingness to participate and support all the Association's activities.  Shirley is shown on the right of the picture, together with other recipients of the Award who were present at the meeeting, Jeanne Howard, Elizabeth Chapple, Joyce Illes and Gail Grigg.  Other members of this exclusive club not present were Vera Mytinger, Sandy Spike, Mary Lu Kagler & June Linson.
